Roger Tully 1973-1979 Attended Moorpark College and UCLA majoring in Photojournalism and Film, studied under John Grzywacz-Gray and Gregory Nava respectively. While in my sophmore year shot my first professional assignment for People Magazine. After college I began my career in Los Angeles in a commercial film studio as a cinematographer and then as a director. I also continued shooting freelance photojournalism stories for various magazines. 1980-2006 In 1980 I relocated from Los Angeles to New York City where I continued shooting editorial assignments for publications such as Time, People, Fortune, Money, Discover, Life, National Geographic World, and Forbes Magazine. By 1982 I began to shoot commercial work and have gone on assignment in over 54 countries for many of the Fortune 500 companies, top advertising agencies and design firms producing award-winning work. 2006-Present In 2006 I began shooting multi-media and video as well as continuing my still photography assignments. At present my work is split between shooting commercial still assignments and producing/directing/editing videos for NPOs and corporate clients. Expertise Still Photography Ability to work with or without on-site art direction. Broad experienced in translating creative concepts into award-winning solutions. Proficient either on location or in the studio. Video and Multi-Media Extensive experience guiding a project from early conception to actionable solutions to delivery of final cuts. Possesses strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Wide range of knowldege in multiple formats ranging from 35mm film to HD Video to Phantom High Speed camera. Proficient in Final Cut Suite, After Effects, color grading, audio mixing, and video authoring. |
